How to browse linux directories from Windows xp
hi......
i just want to go through the linux directories from my windows 98 ..is there any way to do it ..........

Samba. www.samba.org
You could use
system settings > server settings > samba
If it's not there then go into add/remove applications and install it (it's under windows file server)
From there you can add shares (directories). Use user level security and make sure to add the user in that little config thing that Fedora provides. If on the 98 machine it says you don't have permission or something check your firewall settings.
If everything went well then it should show up in network neighborhood on the 98 machine.
Once you get good at that look into tutorials and configure samba through the smb.conf file (it's in etc/samba)You dont need a pocket protector or thick glasses to be a geek.

You can mount Fat32 read/write in Linux, no problem... Just add the correct entry to your fstab. Probably Linux mounted it already for you.
