You could try Gtk-Gnutella or Frostwire since Limewire has been giving you trouble. And you might find KMLDonkey easier to use that the basic MLDonkey....

    I use LimeWire Pro and Azureus.

    LimeWire Pro for downloading music, and azureus for the rest.
