KDE administration mode lockout
I have KDE on ubuntu and SuSE, i have super user privleges, but whenever i try and get to the kcontrol, it askes me for my root password. In ubuntu, the root password is different form my password, but it gives me an error saying it is the wrong password when i type in the root password, and when i type in my password, it accepts it, but it justs returns to the previous screen without me being in administrator mode. I noted that the su command does not work in ubuntu, instead i use sudo -s. In SuSE i have the exact same problem, except that teh root password and my administrator account password are the same. This seems to be repetitive, but no on else has teh same problem anywhere i looked. I am familiar with the command line and can use it, but prefer not to, on account that i do not yet know every command.
