Audacity audio card setup
I've got an Audiophile 2496 card, and a built-in sound card in my motherboard. The basic driver for Audiophile was buggy (it didn't even say Audiophile, it said snd-icesomething), so I downloaded Open Sound (OSS), and then it worked fine. When I try to record with Audacity something weird happens. It doesn't seem to use the OSS driver, but the basic one instead (ALSA?). It works to record, but the recording is a mix of the output and input of the soundcard (I hear the "backing track" too). The OSS driver cannot be chosen from the preferences menu. There are only "/dev/dsp" to "dev/dsp4".
What can you make of this? It seems weird to me, but I'm kind of a newbie...
