Hi,
I am new to Red Hat Linux and I have some interesting works to do with this cool Operation System. I know a little about this OS.
Fine I have some systems which does some loads of work. Often I do see the output of the work using some X commands implemented by our Tools team. Actually I am planning to figure out some statistics from the X command outputs.
It will be very nice if I am able to run my custom command once in every 2 hours in my system and direct the output to a log file.
I know this could be possible through some simple Python/Perl scripts. Can anyone send me some sample programs for my use. I will try to develop and customise to my needs.
Regards,

You can do that by setting up Cronjobs, look at Google For Linux for tutorials/guides.
