    Microsoft said that for "security reasons'" after Octobre 15th only MSN Messenger with be able to use the MSN protocol. Unless the other clients (like gaim) get lisenced or something...

    They should just license MSN Messenger under the GPL.

    But anyways...I've always been and ICQ/IRC guy myself. Didn't start using AIM til last year cuz I had a lot of friends on it...and have many times almost gone back to just ICQ/IRC and said that they can find me if they want to talk!
