Linux Firefox and realplayer8
Applications:
FireFox 1.0.4 for Linux i686
Realplayer8
Linux Version:
SuSe Professional 9.0
i currently got Firefox installed, and when i go to watch some media footage on the net, it says i need realplayer, quicktime, or microjunk. i do have realplayer installed.
I am wondering how do i get realplayer8 latched onto firefox <or vise versa> to were firefox will detect realplayer.
Also wondering, dose anyone elses keyboard just up and die while using firefox? I can type in a URL and that would be it, only key that works on the hole keyboard is the backspace key, eather a bad download, or someone messed up in the coding.......
anyone abloe to give me a hand here?
Thx!

Re: Linux Firefox and realplayer8
Try following the instructions found at the mozilla plugindoc page. Specifically
http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/linux.html#RealPlayer

dont bother installing realplayer, instead install mplayerplug-in which embeds the mplayer media player in firefox. it will play all files like realplayer/mov/mpeg whatever.
