    as far as I know flash is windows only. .swf files can be run in unix o/s's but you cant create, render and compile them.

    Unless someone knows of something I dont you are going to have to stick with windows for that. The only real thing thats keeping me from switching 100% to linux is Flash and the Adobe image editing software (photoshop, illustrator, image ready).

    If you have PHP, check out 'Ming'. You can make flash movies (even on the fly) with that.
