    vsFTPd

I am new to linux and am having a lot of trouble so far. vsftpd has taken me about 4 hours to install, and now when i type 'ftp localhost' i actually get a response from it...
The only problem is i don't know where to edit usernames and their passwords to login. I created accounts for Linux w/ the same home directory and i tried using those accounts + passwords, however it didn't work. I hope i can get this thing working....

I added them under 'users and groups' to test and see if it would work... i guess it doesn't since this is just for logging into linux. Still if anyone can help it would be appreciated.

It is for logging in to the FTP daemon as well; they both use the same user databases.
However, can you log in locally (ie. to the console) with those usernames?
