Please help on Xmame
Okay, I threw Windows out the window (no pun intended) 3 days ago.
Im running redhat 9, and so far, ive surprised myself. Ive gotten all peripherall and the video card driver installed, along with it having the ability to play mp3 (still dont know why redhat did that) and I even install Neverwinter nights.
I even figured out how to auto-mount an NTFS drive, hehe : )
So, Ive gotten alot done. But I cant figure out this Xmame. Ive already downloaded Xmame, but i cant figure out how to install it. I installed Gxmame, but it asks for an executable. I believe it should point to Xmame, but I have no idea how to install Xmame
Please help, Im so close into having my PC perfect without windows on it.

What kind of file did you download, RPM, tarball? Either way, this http://www.linuxforums.org/viewtopic.php?t=3912 thread should help you out.
Also, RH9 took out mp3 support for legal reasons, but as you figured out is easy to add yourself.

Ah, welcome to the world of dependencies. This is the kind of thing that usually happens with RPMs, but most times it's only one or two things needed. Whenever something like this happens, do a google search of whatever it's asking for or go to rpmfind.net and you should be able to find what you're looking for.

Yeah, but you got to be careful which one you use. They usually have rpms made for a lot of different distros, so either get a red hat rpm or a src rpm.

If worse comes to worst, try downloading the source code from http://x.mame.net/ and compile it. That should work regardlessly.
