Can anybody recomend a good linux alterantive to Nortons Ghost? I have been playing around with Udpcast, but want to look into alternatives if they are available.

You might want to try partimage; or just plain and simple, the dd command, and compress its output

TrueImage (by Acronis) is also a good alternative to NG.
It's really a Windows program if you want to install it on your hard drive, but it can be run directly from the CD, and as such works great with Linux partitions.

Ditto on Acronis TrueImage
excellent recovery tool for both windows and linux, but as Ozar said, linux backup/restores are from the CD only
