External modem help (USB to Serial)
I ordered a USR external off of ebay to use with Linux. After I had recieved it, I found out that my serial port was dead. So, I bought a USB to Serial adapter. It works great in Suse and ubuntu, but I can't get it working in Damn Small Linux.
I've been troubleshooting this for the last week or so but can't seem to get anywhere.
In a nutshell, DSL boots up, sees the serial adapter and loads the drivers for it. However, it will not communicate with the modem (tried running Microcom). I've also tried various nodes with no luck--the modem should be at /dev/ttyUSB0.
Anyway, no one at the DSL forums is able to help, anyone here happen to have an idea???
Thanks
