    k3b/k3bsetup

i was just hoping to use k3b but i've recently upgraded it and noticed that k3bsetup has disappeared from the Settings menu.

i'm not sure what permissions need to be changed on what files - anyone?

I'm using k3b 0.11.24 and to configure it I go Settings -> configure K3b though you will need to start k3b as root to do the setting up iirc
    Code:
    su
    [rootpass]
    k3b
    and then set it up

If i do that i get an DISPLAY error (i didn't think you could start GUI applications from an 'su').

i've managed to get K3b to detect the drive by doing:

    Code:
    chmod a+rw /dev/dvdrecorder
...but i've a feeling this will get lost when i turn the machine off.
