MySQL ODBC setup help
I need to access MySQL on my localhost via an ODBC DSN so I can reverse
engineer a database I am working on. Can someone tell me how to setup a MySQL
driver in the ODBCConfig tool?
I have MyODBC installed but not sure where to go from here.
Thanks in advance for your help.

perhaps we could help each other. I am also having SERIOUS problems getting ODBC on linux to work. I am also unable to get any answers from anyone on this site.
I think that nobody knows how to do this. I have come close to getting it to work but no cigar yet.
I have researched and tried all different combinations of Gnome/KDE ODBC tools such as: libgnomedb, xbase, knoda, rekall, mdbtools, etc.
If there were only a document somewhere where someone describes a failsafe step by step example that anyone can follow , then I would be in business.
Sometimes I wish I were a C programmer.
The holy grail would be if someone could make a VMWare image that has ODBC setup on it already... then I could examine it and learn from it. Email me at jwilliams@thinkstream.com
