BitTorrent cannot find GTK module

Hi,

I have installed BitTorrent 4.1.3 but /btdownload.py stalls on not finding a module called gtk.
Is this a module required by Python?

I have Python 2.4 installed and understand that BitTorrent relies on 2.3 but the previous postings regarding that problem do not match the output I'm getting;

import gtk
ImportError: No module named gtk
