Kmail and html filters

Hello,

I've been searching for a way to filter Kmail messages on the body containing html. Does anyone know how to setup a filter that will recognize html in the body of a message?

I've noticed that most spam I receive has html in the body and as I only do text mail. I would like to setup a filter in Kmail that will recognize html and send it to the trash.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

settings menu -> configure filters

choose "new" (its a small button, bottom left).

then match on "Body" - Contains - <html> (type in <html> exactly like that).

Then set whatever action you want to take for matching emails below.

I've got several filters setup but I didn't even think of just putting the text "<html> in the filter, doh

. I guess I was looking for an option specifically for html in the body.

Tried this, it isn't working. I tried matching <html>, I tried escaping the char.s in case that made a difference \<html\> , /<html/>, nope. I tried putting "<html>" in quotes, no luck. I tried just html and that matched every message even a test message where the body only contained the word test. I've never had a problem on filter match to From, or Subject but the body filters I can't seem to make work. :banghead:
