making live disks /*solved*/
hello all,
this may seem a bit vague, but recently i read an article in a linux magazine (think it was linux format) about a piece of software that enables you to make linux live disks, the only thing i remember about the software was that it used a lot of system resources.
i cant remember what it was called. would anybody be able to provide me with any info, even just a url?
thx in advance

I dont think there is any single software to do this.
Try the following URL
http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/
Most linux live distros are based on Debian or Knoppix

I think your thinking of Intellibuild. Though you will need to be running debian or a debian based system for it to wark iirc

Another option and possibly a better one would be to purchase "Knoppix Hacks" by Kyle Rankin, O'Reilly, 2004
It contains information and the required background info to costom tune your own version of Knoppix.
I purchased mine through Amazons used books for a fraction of the new price.
