XMMS not working
Hello,
XMMS crashes whenever I try to play an mp3 - or anything for that matter. I have the libmpg123.so plugin enabled, but I guess that wouldn't explain why it can't play wav files either (I also have libwav.so.)
What happens is I will load xmms from a terminal. I get the
error, which I am told is not important.Code:xmms libmikmod.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I load an mp3 file (that I am sure is not corrupted, etc.) and when I press play it freezes, sometimes freezing my entire system and requiring a hard reboot.
Any ideas?
Thanks for all the help!

Sorry, should have included more...
I am using Ubuntu, and the plugin was obtained via synaptic.
The sound does work (not in XMMS of course, but system sounds do.)
I also tried re-installing XMMS with synaptic, and nothing changed.
