    I'm running mandrake 10.1 and i downloaded the newest version of firefox. I did the usual

    tar -xzvf firefox-1.0.6.installer.tar.gz
    cd firefox-installer
    ./firefox-installer

    then the installer can up and i hit next and it crashed. And i got this:

    SCIM: im_module_init
    free(): invalid pointer 0x8207460!
    free(): invalid pointer 0x8207438!
    ./firefox-installer: line 56: 5231 Segmentation fault (core dumped) ./${BINNAME}-bin $@

    I've installed firefox many times and have never had any problems. Can anybody help me get firefox going.

    Regards,
    tronic

    Yeah, I also had this problem with Mandrake, but I can't remember the exact solution. Either I did a urpmi firefox or just downloaded an rpm and installed it with that.
    Life is complex, it has a real part and an imaginary part.
