i don't think you can specificially download matlab for linux as it is closed source software. And downloading it would be considered as an act of piracy (unless you buy it from Mahworks). What you need to get matlab running under linux is their Official Universal Installation cd which contains binaries for Windows, Unix and Mac.
However, there are Matlab equivalents for linux, which have the ability to edit *.m files and run them. Check out GNU Octave for more info.

problem installing octave
i had ocatve running on mandrake 10.0 ...but now i have mandriva 2005 ..i have diffculty installing it from source..and i can't find a rpm ..ifanyone knows a rpm for mandriva , octave ,can u tell me about it?

what problems do you have installing from source? i don't know if an rpm exists, but you can search for it at http://rpm.pbone.net or http://rpmfind.net/

the problem in installing from aource
is that i don't have fortran compiler as he says..
i have gcc 3.4.x..i think i haven't installed the fortran support..buti m working on it..and thanks i have found teh package..

have you tried matlab using NdisWrapper, or you can try to find more inforamtion on kluid (http://www.kluid.com ) , its a very good forum on matlab related topics ...
