Just a FYI, in case you don't know. You really don't need to find a web site where to download apps from depending on your distro.
What distribution do you have installed?

Right. Depending on the distro you might see what is in

or in the distro's repository.

I see you use Knoppix, upgrade to 4.0 would be good
With knoppix, you can use synaptic or you can use apt-get
