    gaim file transfer problem

    Hi! I'm using gaim 1.5.0 on FC3 and I can't send files to yahoo messenger users. I mean I get the message that the file was sent, but the reciever doesn't recieve anything. What can I do about it?

    Taken from the Gaim FAQ under "Does Gaim Support File Transfers?":

    Sending and receiving files on Yahoo when not using an HTTP proxy (sending is limited to an unknown file size)


    So it may be an issue with this.

    Nope! This isn't it. I can't send files even if they are 1kb. Plus,I saw somebody send a 75 MB file over yahoo messenger, so this can't be it.

    I find Gaim a little 'iffy' with file transfers in general. Might I suggest Yahoo Messenger for Unix/Linux (the official client)? Check it out here. It might be a good solution to your transfer problems.
