    RealPlayer10GOLD issues

    Okay I so I am running Debian Linux on my Laptop. And so I logged in as root to install the /bin files

    The installation went great, but and I can open real player and it works just fine. But when I log in as my user, james, I click the real player icon under the applications menu, and nothing happens.

    So I tired installing it witht eh su command in terminal through my james account but no luck. I also tried not as route.

    Any ideas?

    Try using MPlayer. Realplayer has issues, and is the product of a company infamous for its sleazy policiies.
