how do i install it after i have downloaded it, the README doesn't have any installation instructions?

you can jst run it out of that file it gives you the binaries already. so jst go into the msn folder it creates when you untar it and look for the executable "amsn" and run it

Kudos to the amsn project people! They did a bang up job and a half! Easy install from the rpm package. I downloaded the tarball, too (wanna peek at the source code later). Installation from the rpm package was easy - opened up a terminal emulator in the konqueror window where the rpm file was, su'ed to root, and typed 'rpm -ivv <amsn package name here>'. Did the double v for extra verbosity so I could see what it was doing during the install process. Worked like a charm! A couple of extra steps to get the final configuring and tweaking done, and voila! it worked!
Cheers
