I have an old 610P Umax scanner and have been trying to get it working with SUSE. I got directed to a SANE web site and this was fairly helpful and I am now getting the scanner recognised during bootup (the scanner light moves and operates) and It is also configured correctly in the setup programme but when I go to use Kooka, the scanner start to operate but after about 2 seconds stops.
Could anyone shed some light on how to get over this problem
