I'm having issues with apps i find online that have been "developed" for Redhat. They dont work on Slackware! lol - what can i do to fix this lil prob....

I'm having issues with apps i find online that have been "developed" for Redhat. They dont work on Slackware! lol - what can i do to fix this lil prob.

There are no specific programs that are made exactly for RedHat and not other distributions.
Would help if you would list some app names so I can be more of a help, but try downloading the source and compiling yourself.

If you are downloading rpm packages that have been compiled and packaged for RH then you will have problems. If the app that you want isn't packaged (as in compiled) for slackware then look for the binaries and you will have to compile them yourself. I know it's a pain, but I think that's just the way that it is.
