    It works because it was pacman that actually ends up installing the package. While arch is a superb all around distro, I do believe that pacman may very well be it's strongest point. Once you are familiar with package builds, they are very easy to work with, too.

    very cool...pacman does seem really easy to use. i've just started using arch so i've got some to learn but it doesn't seem difficult at all. i like its ease of use, speed, and how you build from little to nothing. very impressive
