    If you are using it across nfs, make sure that the nfs rpc lockd thing is working /etc/init.d/nfsboot start (on suse) /etc/init.d/nfsmount start (on gentoo).

    It appears that it is the
    .ooo-2.0.org/user/config/soffice.cfg/global/accelerator/en-US/current.xml file, but removing this file does not solve the problem. I had this problem on both, gentoo and opensuse 10.2, and this resolved it for both distros

    I was able to correct the problem by just deleting the user directory under the .openoffice.org2.0 folder
