    m using redhat linux nd m unable to extract a rar file .
    wht do i do ??

    Possibly you'd have to install Rar for Linux:

    http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm

    However. it does state that it is a trial version so may have some limitations. This may only be that a warning says you must buy or remove after 40 days like the Windows version.

    install "unrar" (most distros have a package for it) and then do "unrar x whatever.rar"
