I have just spent many hours getting Scribus to work, it had major problems printing and creating pdf files. Now it seems to be Ok.
My question is - Is this program really any good?. I am sure it does what it does fairly well, but it does seem very basic. I could not even get it to constrain lines (to straight) that I was drawing. I went to their web site and looked for add ons and there does not appear to be any. None of the templates etc had valid URLs so I could not tell if they were any good.

I am not knocking this program, it may be in its infancy and is off to a good start, but are there better DTP programs available.
