    VMWare Networking

    I have been using vmware for about a month now, and the last time I used it networking just stoped working. I can't connect to the internet on any of my vmware machines. I have even tried removing/reinstalling/reconfiguring all of the settings.

    I am almost 95% sure the problem is with the linux host and not the guest operating system. If anyone can help me, tell me what config settings etc you would like me to post for you. I havn't posted any config related settings here because I do not know which ones would be helpful.

    Go to /etc/init.d (or wherever your init scripts are stored) and as root enter:

    ./vmware status

    If that seems to be not running properly, enter:

    ./vmware restart

    and note any errors. This might fix it, however, so try it afterwards.
