MySQL starts then shutsdown
Hi,
I purchased a dedicated server which has Fedora Core 3 build on it.
I'm attempting to install Plesk control panel, but need to down version MySQL to facilitate this - from 4.1 to 3.23.58.
I succesfully removed 4.1 and installed server, client, devel modules for 3.23 using Yum without problem.
However MySQL will not start. Everythings fine until immeadiately after starting the server shuts itself down and I don't know why - the logs look entirely normal (localhost.err) merely stating the MySQL engine shutdown successfully.
I'm very frustrated and would love some help here.
Thanks,
MAc

More info - the log shows:
"incorrect information in file: ./mysql/user.frm"
Still stumped.
