Windows based client to connect to Linux server
I was wondering what Windows based software clients are available to run on Windows XP or Windows 2003 Server that connect you to a Linux box, so you can connect to and work on the Linux box right from the Windows workstation.
Thanks,
Ira

Work on the Linux based server in what way?
If you mean through console, I usually use putty, a free ssh client.

If you mean graphically, you can run tightvnc server on the Linux machine and log into it with the tightvnc viewer. Tightvn is available in most distributions, and the client for Windows is available at
http://www.tightvnc.com/
You can just download the viewer which doesn't require installation, called tightvnc-something-viewer.zip
I hope this answers your question.

Thank you for your reply. I have not fully worked with the items found at the links you posted, but I have looked at them and I believe they will provide what I was looking for. I will bookmark this posting so that I won't loose track of the links until I have time to fully explore them.
Thanks,
Ira

If you lose them, you can always just google for putty ssh client and tightvnc.

Glad it seems useful
