Well, I did try it, but it didn't work on my first attempt, so I gave it up and returned to the good old Return to Castle Wolfenstein.
You should make sure that you have all the proper 3D drivers installed before attempting to use it.
Btw., did you read my last reply to your internet problems? If not, then you should.

if its liek the rtcw then u have to download a linux executable from id software. i think i remember seeming one for enemy territory

I installed it on my computer and it works well (but it seems that I've got sound with OSS but not with ALSA).
Simply download the install script, log in as root and type "sh ./<name of the file you download>"
