    MP3 codec question


    What particular package do I need to download so that I can play MP3's in Fedora? Red Hat left it out due to licensing issues or legalities.

    I did a Google search as well. I installed this very codec but XMMS still will not work. What culd I be doing wrong?

    This is the canonical source of the package:

    http://staff.xmms.org/priv/redhat8/

    It says RedHat 8, but works just as well for any version.
