this is what I did inside the xine-lib folder I had downloaded
    Code:
    make
    make install
    make clean
And everything did what it was supposed to. I got no errors that I could see.

Xine requires three things to properly run and play certain common MS Windows formats:

    xine-lib - which you have
xine-ui - the user interface. Without this you cannot run xine.
win32codecs - the codec packages that allow you to playback certain formats.

Do you have all of the above?

You should look into using yum to install packages: http://fedoranews.org/tchung/howto/2...um-intro.shtml

It is a package manager which will download and install packages (along with its dependencies for you).
