MPlayer wont start
Okay I recently installed MPlayer in SuSe 10 but now when I go to start it absolutely nothing happens. If I try to run it from a commandline it works but only with WMV and MOV files but not AVI plus starting it directly from a commandline is a pain. Is there a way to fix this problem or am I going to have to deal with it?

MPlayer requires a frontend. The last time i installed it, i compiled from source and there is a paramter you NEED to pass to ./configure if you want it to install in the GUI portion of your OS. don't remember what it is, but this step is well documented on www.mplayerhq.hu
