    Thumbs up how can i run an application

    HI,
    My query is how can i run an application on the panel i.e i have one application which wants to continuously run on the panel and when i click the application i want to show the output of that application . I want the solutions for both KDE AND GNOME.

    Open a terminal window and run it from there. The termial app (and there are usually a few different types installed by default) is on the menu somewhere, you may have to poke around for it, 'cos its position varies between distros.

    If you type the application name you want into a terminal, it'll run and any output will be displayed in the terminal. You can also start the application with command line arguments if you like.
