Win XP Home, Mandrake 9.0 and Samba - a little help please
Seems there are a lot of questions about Samba, but here's mine. (Keep in mind that I'm a Linux idiot please...)
I have WinXP Home on one machine and Mandrake 9.0 on the other. Using Samba I have mounted the XP machine and can open files from it. I can also ping from either machine to the other.
What I can't do is see the Linux machine in the XP Network Places. Can anyone help please?
Thanks in advance.

For that you must configure and start the SMB server. There's a HOWTO on this matter on http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/SMB-HOWTO.html.
