Aren't they stored in ~/.evolution? I'm not at my box atm, so I can't tell j00 for sure.

Yes i am very stupid. Found in a folder in my home directory. Well I think I've got everything - all backed up. Only restoring will tell me for sure.

your evoltion account settings are not stored in the ~/evolution
~/evolution contains your filter settings and your email folders
and ofcourse al your email
but your acount settings are in the .gnome subfolders
don't know exactly which one
