    Emacs Build Problem -- Loading quits w/ ftruncate error

    Hi all,

    I am having a problem building Emacs on Debian Linux. I did the following:

    In the Emacs extracted download directory:
    1) ./configure
    2) ./make

    The make fails while it is loading (linking them together?) a bunch of files, with an error about not being able to find ftruncate.

    Any ideas? Any help is appreciated.

    could you copy/paste the the error message please as well as the version of emacs you're trying to build?
