Need help to compile Kaffeine frm source!!!
I just install Mepis 6.0 on my system to replace Suse 10.1, then I want to recompile the new
Kaffeine, When i was in Suse it's work fine. I just use the normal compile and install procedure. (configure && make && make install)
But now I do the same thing its give me the diff result.
The problem is it cannot find the X
it give me some thing like this :
checking for vsnprintf ... yes
checking for snprintf ... yes
checking for X ... error, not found
y? what i missing?
I would recommend that you don't try to compile it from source. It would be better to just download and install the binary version of Kaffeine.
Mepis is Debian based, so typing:
apt-get install Kaffeine
or using whatever gui installer you have would be better. You might think that installing from source will make Kaffeine run more efficiently, but imho this is unlikely to be the case.I am always doing that which I can not do, in order that I may learn how to do it. - Pablo Picasso
