Got the fonts part figured out.
I followed this guide - I copied the fonts from a friends computer and pasted them in through the KDE control center. For Arch I just added the packages "ttf-ms-fonts" & "artwiz-fonts" through pacman.
Still no dice on the grammar check though...10" Sony Vaio SRX99P 850MHz P3-M 256MB RAM 20GB HD : ArchLinux

I could be wrong, but I don't think there exists any decent grammar checkers for OO just yet.
