I don't run wireless at all so can't help with it but if you haven't looked at it already, maybe the Arch wiki page can offer some help/ideas:

thanks but i alread looked at that. I installed gnome-network-manager, but found no way to launch it (nothing in administration, or system tools). so i manually set my wifi via terminal, but it constantly goes down after a minute or two.

I don't know if you figured this out but you have to turn on the network manager in your services control panel. Then it works quite nicely in the upper right of your screen.
