KDE 3.5.2 problem

Hi all, I just updated to mandriva 2006 and updated KDE to 3.5 The problem is even though Konqueror is set to open folders in the same window it keeps opening them in a new window which is very aggravating.

I've tried checking and un-checking and restarting after each time but no luck, is there another option somewhere else that I am over looking? or maybe theres a way to edit some line in a file?

I checked out the link you posted but still was unable to solve the problem, fed up I thought I'll just right click and use tabs for a while, then I decided to make a shortcut to Kcontrol in the menu for easy access, the weird part is it somehow fixed the problem. I'm a bit puzzled exactly why this was the remedy, but grateful its fixed. once again I'd like to thankyou for your reply.
