    Okay, well, I'm looking at that script and I see nothing.

    This is really weird, but I'm not sure what to tell ya. If it works as another user just fine, I guess go with that.

    I'm having this exact same problem on gentoo.

    figured it out!

    all you have to do is remove files in /tmp

    KDE might not like that, but it should be alright if you remove any simlinks in ~/.kde that point to dirs inside of /tmp
