hi all

I have been thinking for some time now of making a promotional vidio of linux in use.. rather than just pointing a camera at the moniter.. is there a way to write all the output to a file which can then be encoded useing mencoder or something? I have seen a few programs for doing this but all seem to be windows only and non free too!
