    opera + javascript

    so opera likes to lag up my system when i view a site with moving images in javascript like myspace and those lame advertisement adds that you have to click to win, does the same in firefox. is there a workaround for this besides disabling javascript?

    When you are on a site that has the problem try right-clicking in the page and selecting Edit site preferences. Go to the Scripting tab and check Open console on error. If that comes up it may provide some clues.

    Another option is selecting the Content tab and unchecking Enable GIF/SVG animation.

    If none of those does anything and you only have a few problem sites, you could always disable Javascript from the Scripting tab for each site that has the problem.
