erased partition recovery
Hey. Here's my situation:
I have a dell PC with two HDD's.
one with 112 gb (C
, and one with 37 (E
. It had WinXP on it, and last night I was going to do a dual boot with winXP. I was about to delete the C: partition but I deleted the E: Partition by accident. E: had all my family's files on it. I've seen heaps of software for windows for recoverying partitions etc but none for linux.
Are there any that I could run on an ubuntu live-cd?
It's kinda urgent, thanks.

in case of deleted partition, it doesn't matter if partition was in Linux format or windows format. all windows based partition recovery tools will work. you can use UBCD to recover deleted partition.
casperIt is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
