    On Windows, I was a big fan of BSplayer too. Haven't found anything like it for Linux yet, though. Would be curious to know if there is something similar.

    I don't think I've seen an app with similar features for both audio and video. What is it about BSplayer that you like the most? That might make it easier to find alternatives. Your best bet is probably finding separate audio and video apps that can match up for just those uses.

    The thing about BSplayer was that it recognized every format I threw at it. There was only one format I threw at it that it couldn't play. It was just a very solid all-around media player. I've tried mplayer, xmms, totem, etc. but none of them have been able to match the overall playability that BSplayer had.
